Getting a Fingerprint Clearance Card - Online

Before starting the application process be sure to look-up the locations you can go to for fingerprinting from Arizona Livescan (AZLS).

  1. Go to the AZ DPS Public Services Portal website and select Fingerprint Clearance Card

  2. Select Apply For a Card and hit continue.

  3. Log In to your AZDPS account. If you do not have an AZDPS account you will need to create one.

  4. Once logged in select New Application

  5. Follow the steps on the application:

    • Choose the option Apply for a Fingerprint Clearance Card (My job requires me to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card as a prerequisite for employment)

    • Under reason for applying scroll down to non-IVP Level 1/Regular Applications, select; § DHS – Child Care Employees and Volunteers – ARS 36-883.02

    • Select the option for volunteer

    • Enter in the below for employer information:

      • Stepping Stones Preschool 3951 W. Happy Valley Rd., Glendale, AZ 85310. Phone Number: 623-606-4266.

  6. Submit application. You will receive an email from DPS to complete the registration process and pay the fee. The DPS fee is $65 for volunteers.

  7. Preregister for fingerprinting through AZLS. Their fee for fingerprints is $29.

  8. After registering, bring your AZLS Reference Number to a fingerprint location for the final step.

    Cards are mailed to you when DPS has completed the application. You can also log in to the DPS portal to check the status.

We will need to copy the front and back of your fingerprint clearance card once you receive it. You cannot aide until you receive your card and a copy is on file in the office.
