Hi! My name is Tamma Sue McMurry. I currently teach the Monday, Wednesday, Friday Multi Age 3-4’s class.
I’m one of the few native “Phoenicians” who was born and raised here in Arizona. I’ve lived here all of my life and I love it! I started at Stepping Stones Preschool in 1984 when one of my oldest daughters attended the school for preschool. After the experience, I fell in love with the school, its philosophy and programs and never left!
A Little About Me…
When my children were little, I decided that a career in Elementary Education was very rewarding. I started teaching at Stepping Stones in 1989 and received my Child Development Associate (CDA) degree in 1993. I continue to take Educational classes each year by attending seminars and workshops throughout the valley. I’ve also participated in the community by teaching several Science classes at local conventions. When I teach, I’m very committed. I’ve helped students get additional help in speech and occupational therapy through the school district.
Fulfillment Comes In Many Forms…
It is so fulfilling to see the children grow and change each year. I enjoy helping with their development and watching both the children and families grow throughout the school year. It’s all very rewarding to know I helped with their early education supporting success in life! I love teaching!
My husband and I have been married since 1977. All of our children are alumni of Stepping Stones Preschool and soon our grandchildren will be attending the school! Our family loves to go to the beach in the summer and likes to travel to Europe when we get a chance.
Thank you for your interest in this great school, Tamma
