Hello, my name is Katie Lacey. I currently teach the Tuesday-Thursday 3-4 multi-age class, as well as the Thursday afternoon enrichment class. I started at Stepping Stones preschool as a parent aide when my oldest daughter attended Mrs. Berneburg’s 4-5 class and instantly fell in love with the school and its philosophy. As a parent, being able to volunteer and be a part of my child’s education was a great experience for both of us. I got to watch my child grow, share experiences with her and become a part of such a close community of amazing teachers and families. I also love their philosophy that play is an important part of a child’s early years and that through play they grow and develop; socially, emotionally and academically.
I was born in Massachusetts and raised in New Hampshire. I moved to Arizona with my husband and daughter in 2015, and we absolutely love all the sunshine here. Last year we welcomed our youngest daughter and as a family of four we love traveling, hiking, playing (and watching) sports. I graduated with my associates degree in Early Childhood Education from New Hampshire Community College. Before moving to Arizona, I volunteered my time at a Head Start program as well as coaching youth sports teams and camps.
Thank you for looking at Stepping Stones Preschool for your little one, Katie
