Hi! My name is Julie Ruebsamen. I joined the Stepping Stones Preschool family in 1987 when my youngest daughter turned three. The idea of playing an active role in my children’s lives at preschool intrigued me so I quickly became a “participating parent” and volunteered over the course of many years in all three of my daughter’s classes. In addition to working in the classroom with other parents and teacher staff, I played an active role by volunteering on the parent board for several years – one as executive chair.
In 1991, there was an opening to work in the office and I “officially” joined the Stepping Stone’s staff! I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Finance from NAU and to foster my interest in education, I often attend workshops and conferences to learn more about the profession. To stay active in the community, I’ve served on several committees in the school district such as interest based negotiations and strategic planning. In 2002, I became co-director alongside Joanne Black.
I am so proud to be part of Stepping Stones Preschool. Truly, the school is unique because both teachers and parents work together in the classroom, providing an educational experience based on individual growth and development.
Thank you for your interest, Julie
